Dwellings at Swineshead Road, Boston

The site is located at Former Phoenix Poultry Farm, near a retail shopping centre at Boston. Surrounding the site are retail units and residential properties, along with the A52 road to the South, and the New Hammond Beck watercourse to the North.

The project, designed by CORE Architects of Lincoln, has regenerated the site and delivered homes for local people following increased demand for affordable housing.

The project consists of 25 rented social housing properties and garages, adoptable road construction including piled foundations, timber frame construction throughout with external brickwork skin and landscaping.

Given the site location, the engineering design required careful consideration of flood risk requirements, coordination with Middle Level Commissioners, Anglian Water Services and Lincolnshire County Council.  Working collaboratively with these key stakeholders, we were able to develop sustainable design solutions to meet the site constraints.
